Man arrested for kicking police officer breaking up family brawl
A Waipahu man involved in a fight early yesterday morning on Pupukahii Street was arrested after kicking a police officer sent to help to break up the brawl.
Police responded to a fight between two men in the middle of Pupukahii Street around 12:45 a.m. Officers separated the two, whom they determined to be father and son.
The son yelled at the officers and challenged them to a fight. The suspect, 19, was subsequently arrested for disorderly conduct.
Following his arrest, the suspect kicked an officer and then was arrested for assaulting a police officer.
Another Waipahu man, 41, was arrested for harassment and resisting arrest.
