Pedestrian who died in a Tuesday crash is identified
The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s office has identified a 30-year-old pedestrian who died after he was hit by a truck in Kalihi as Leemar Dacanay.
Dacanay died of his injuries on Wednesday, officials said.
Police said a truck hit Dacanay, who was in a crosswalk on Kalihi Street near Eluwene Street, about 6:10 a.m. Tuesday, police said.
He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
