Hikers rescued from Maunawili trail
Firefighters rescued five mainland tourists who lost their way after dark on Maunawili Trail last night, said Honolulu Fire Capt. Robert Main.
The hikers didn’t have flashlights and called for help at 7:48 p.m., Main said.
Hiking into the trail, firefighters reached the group near the falls and led them out at 9:03 p.m. No one was injured.
