Big Isle hunter shot in apparent accident
A Mountain View man, shot in an apparent hunting accident on the Big Island on Saturday, was flown to Oahu in critical condition, Big Island police said.
The man, who was hunting pigs, was shot once near Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Factory in Keeau before 7 a.m., then stabilized at Hilo Medical Center, police said.
Then he was flown to a hospital on Oahu Saturday in critical condition.
The case remains under investigation.
