Maui brush fire is extinguished
It took almost a week to put out a brush fire at Maalaea, reportedly the largest ever on Maui.
The fire started last Monday night and was extinguished at 12:30 p.m. today.
The brush fire burned an estimated 6,200 acres.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
