    It bugs me.

Pesticides in our food supplies, when not inspected properly, become a part of our diet.

Future cancers, can be started, by the aggregate eating of pesticide foods, over decades.

  3. leino says:

You are what yo eat! and poison is poison … the concentration being the major variable. Also in the game is an improtatnt subjective word called trust. It need to be earned and go beyond legislation.

  4. stanislous says:

Farmers for the most part use pesticides wisely… it’s the home owner who has no idea what he is doing and does not follow directions.

    • wiliki says:

      I agree.

Farmers don’t spray just prior to harvisting.

State inspectors sample produce in the markets to check if they’re pesticide-free.

      • On_My_Turf says:

I cannot imagine farmers spraying something not needed when that something can cost hundreds of dollars per acre. I also cannot imagine them applying a product when it will wash away with rain or blow away with the wind. On the other hand, I regularly see home owners spraying when it is windy or in between back to back rain storms.

  5. Lana888 says:

Pesticides are poisons which don’t disappear, they stay around in the environment and poison humans and other creatures who can be far away from the original source. We aren’t controlling the use of pesticides and herbicides NEARLY enough. This is what is killing the bees, for instance, which we need to pollinate plants.

    • wiliki says:

Baloney… Roundup for example is sprayed on leaves and not on the soil which reacts with the pesticide. You must be thinking abou DDT which was banned a long time ago.
