Registration ongoing for sex education seminar
Registration is underway for a three-day workshop tailored for teachers, parents and social service providers who teach sex education to high school students.
Scheduled for Jan. 8-10, the workshop will use the “Our Whole Lives: Sexuality Education” curriculum, which is geared toward junior and senior high school students. The workshop will be conducted by the First Unitarian Church of Honolulu, 2500 Pali Highway.
The cost for the training is $150 per person, or $125 if paid by Friday . The application deadline is Dec. 18. Some partial scholarships are available. This workshop is limited to 16 participants.

2 events will celebrate anniversary of war’s end
The Honolulu Foundation, which aspires to world peace through spiritual enlightenment, is hosting two events tied to commemorating the end of World War II.
The group will screen “The Eternal Zero,” a 2013 Japanese war drama, 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the University of Hawaii at Manoa’s art building, room 132. Directed by Takashi Yamazaki, the film includes English subtitles. Tickets are $15 to $20. For reservations, call 457-1740 or email info@honolulufoundation.org.
A free peace concert will be held 1:45 to 4 p.m. Monday to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the end of WWII (September 1945) aboard the USS Missouri battleship exhibit. An admission ticket to the battleship memorial is required.
