Tales of 1941 attack sought from readers

The dwindling ranks of survivors, witnesses and World War II veterans this year will again remember the attack on Pearl Harbor — 75 years after it plunged America into World War II on Dec. 7, 1941.

The Honolulu Star-Advertiser will commemorate the anniversary with complete coverage of the planned events, as well as in-depth stories and analyses on the impact on Hawaii and the nation. We will also publish a special section that will include firsthand accounts from those directly affected by the tragedy, recounting what happened in the chaos of the attack and in its aftermath. If you’d like to share memories and recollections, email your story to Maureen O’Connell, moconnell@staradvertiser.com. Please include your full name and a telephone number.
