Lucky Dragon hotel-casino expected to open on Vegas Strip this year
LAS VEGAS >> The Lucky Dragon hotel-casino is on track to open later this year on the Las Vegas Strip as backers of the project say it’s now fully financed.
Progress on the Asian-themed casino had stalled last year when the city declined to give it tax increment financing, allowing it to use additional property tax revenues that it would generate. But a statement from the resort released Thursday says it has received the necessary funds to complete the project by late 2016.
The Lucky Dragon is looking to provide an authentic Asian cultural and gaming experience.
The casino will feature table games popular in Asia, such as baccarat and pai gow, and the resort will have signage in Chinese first and English second.
Plans also include 200 hotel rooms and a spa.

I hope they get Lionel Richie to perform there, even though he ain’t been black since the Commodores.
This is a great idea! Get everyone used to Chinese language first, with English subtitling underneath!
Too bad it’s not opening here. It would pay for rail construction and all the following costs that we haven’t even been told about.
Will they allow us to dispose of our trash where ever we feel like it, deficate in public, and violate others personal space? If not it won’t be very authentic.
Thought everyone already does that in Vegas.
Why would you want to spend your money in a place promoting a culture known for ripping everyone and everything off? But then again, lemmings from Hawaii going up their just love getting ripped off.
