Fire destroys vacant Waikiki home
Fire officials have estimated that a fire that destroyed a vacant Waikiki home Monday night caused $250,000 worth of damage.
The cause of the fire, which was reported at 9:57 p.m. at 3015 Hollinger St., adjacent to the Waikiki fire station on Kapahulu Avenue, has not been determined.
Nine fire companies with 35 personnel responded to the fire at the one-story residential structure. The fire was brought under control at 10:11 p.m. and fully extinguished before 11:45 p.m.
The building was vacant and no injuries were reported.
