Lionel Richie adds 2nd Blaisdell concert in January
Tickets for Lionel Richie’s show at the Blaisdell Arena in January sold out this morning, prompting a second show to be added, with tickets going on sale at 12:30 p.m. today for Hawaii residents only. No code is required.
The second show will be at 8 p.m. on Jan. 26, a day after the first show, which was announced Tuesday.
The pop music legend, who last performed in Hawaii in 2003, is best known for the solo No. 1 hits “Truly,” “All Night Long (All Night),” “Hello” and “Say You, Say Me,” as well as “Endless Love,” his No. 1 duet with Diana Ross. He also topped the charts twice with the Commodores, with “Three Times a Lady” and “Still.”
Currently, Richie serves as a judge on “American Idol,” which he joined this year for season 16 (along with Katy Perry and Luke Bryan). He will return in the role next year for season 17, which is slated to air in 2019.
