Cardax Inc. is going national with its new anti-inflammatory dietary supplement ZanthoSyn.
The Honolulu-based company was due to officially announce today it has received a purchase order from General Nutrition Corp. to stock the product in all of the more than 3,200 GNC corporate stores nationwide beginning this fall.
GNC’s more than 1,100 franchise stores also will be offered the opportunity to carry ZanthoSyn.
The purchase order represents a significant expansion for Cardax, which in January began rolling out its product in 29 GNC stores in Hawaii.
“This national sales network, combined with physician awareness, provides a powerful marketing strategy to catalyze ZanthoSyn growth across the U.S.,” Cardax CEO David Watumull said in a statement.
Cardax’s thinly traded stock closed unchanged Wednesday at 17.5 cents.
