An 81-year-old man who was previously convicted of rape over 30 years ago has been charged with multiple counts of sex assault involving a minor.
An Oahu grand jury returned an indictment Nov. 21 charging Rudolph P. Orlando, also known as Rudolph Orlanda and Maestro, with two counts of first-degree sex assault involving a minor who was at least 14 years old but younger than 16 at the time of the alleged assaults. The alleged assaults occurred between February 2014 and May 2017.
Police arrested him Monday at or near Ewa Mahiko District Park in Ewa on a $500,000 bench warrant.

Court records show he was sentenced to three 10-year prison terms after he was convicted of two counts of rape and one count of sodomy involving two girls who were younger than 14. Orlando was sentenced to serve the terms concurrently.
Court records also indicate Orlando was sentenced in 1993 to two consecutive 10-year terms after he was convicted of two counts of second-degree sex assault involving two women.
