Balance, true balance, from Hawaii to D.C., is our need. Not one party only. It’s time to take a hard look at the political realities that affect Hawaii. Discord in Washington is toxic. Something needs fixing.
In an ideal world, both parties would reach across the aisle and work together for the good of the people of America and Hawaii. It’s not an ideal world. There’s no longer an aisle to reach across, but a great chasm. Long term, more bipartisanship is the answer. But Hawaii needs helps now.
The Hawaii congressional delegation has done more than its fair share contributing to the toxic discord in Washington, costing Hawaii a voice that could be heard by the president, the Republican heads of many federal agencies, even the House and Senate. Where is the aloha from our Aloha State? Hawaii needs a Republican voice that Republican Washington will listen to and respect.
