Designed for Noodle Fest Hawaii is Sweet Creams’ rolled ice cream with coffee soup, mochi kamaboko, an egg made of white chocolate and M&Ms and chopsticks made with Pocky cracker sticks.

Noodle Fest Hawaii takes place Saturday on Auahi Street in front of Ward Centre, with an international selection of noodle dishes and eating contests.
Sun Noodle is sponsoring the event, from 3–9 p.m. Admission is free, but saimin, ramen and noodle specialties from the Filipino, Thai, Vietnamese and Hawaiian traditions will be sold. A Sweet twist: Sweet Creams has designed an ice cream offering in the form of a noodle bowl.
A noodle-eating endurance challenge — how much can you eat in 10 minutes? — is at 6:30 p.m.; an udon- eating contest at 7:30 p.m. and a spicy noodle eating contest at 8:30 p.m.
Participating restaurants: Asahi Grill, Goma Tei Ramen, Agu a Ramen Bistro, Tonkotsu Kazan Ramen, Shiro’s Saimin Haven, Tanaka Saimin, Elena’s Restaurant, Laverne’s Hawaiian Foods, Maile’s Thai Bistro, The Pig & The Lady and Umami Teppan Kingyo.
