Re-Use Hawaii Executive Director Quinn Vittum inspected the machinery and lane-operation section inside the old Waialae Bowl on Thursday in Kahala. Re-Use Hawaii has three days to break down the wood from the 20 lanes and collect other reusable items inside the bowling alley, such as bowling balls and pins. The bowling alley operated for 50 years and closed in 2008.
