Traffic was backed up past the H-1 H-2 merge this morning after an earlier accident near the Waimalu exit.

Traffic backed up this morning on the H-1 eastbound near the Waimalu exit.

Police reopened the three right lanes of the H-1 eastbound near the Kaahumanu overpass this morning after an accident.

Police sent out a bulletin at 5:48 a.m. that the right three lanes of the freeway were closed due to an accident.

The state transportation department opened the Zipper Lane to all vehicles shortly before 6:30 a.m. and the accident was cleared around 7 a.m. However, eastbound traffic remained backed up to Kapolei as of 7:30 a.m.
