Hawaii leads the nation for the highest physical well-being for older residents, a new report shows.
The survey, by management consulting firm Gallup and Healthways, which aims to improve health and well-being, also showed that seniors living in Hawaii had the greatest sense of purpose and community.
Arizona ranked No. 1 for social well-being for older Americans, while North Dakota was the top in financial well-being.
The survey was based on self-reported data from 115,572 individuals age 55 and older on the five elements of well-being: purpose, social, financial, community and physical.

Greene was the voice of the hospital industry and regularly lobbied at the Legislature on health care issues during the implementation of the federal Affordable Care Act, or Obamacare, as well as budget deficits at the state level.
