Police arrest 3 men after drug raid at Kalihi home

COURTESY HAWAII NEWS NOW

Police arrested three men after a Tuesday morning drug raid at a Kalihi home.

Two men were arrested early Tuesday morning in Kalihi on suspicion of methamphetamine trafficking.

The arrests occurred at a 6:40 at a home on Hiu Street close to the public housing complex known as the Towers at Kuhio Park — the scene a few weeks ago of a drive-by shooting that damaged a car.

Two men — ages 46 and 21 — were arrested on suspicion of first-degree methamphetamine trafficking.

A third man was booked for an outstanding warrant.

HPD and the feds know where the meth is, who is bringing it in, and who is distributing it. This is an island. We could stop the meth imports if we wanted to. It is destroying families out here

Kalihi is a pretty scary place huh allie.

    • FARKWARD says:

“IMPORTS” of METH–NOT SO MUCH (A CHILD, IN A BASEMENT-KITCHEN, CAN MANUFACTURE); BUT, IT’S THE HEROIN, COCAINE, AND SEX/HUMAN TRAFFICKING–THE PROCEEDS OF WHICH CONTINUES TO FILL THE POCKETS OF CERTAIN RESIDENTS—-WHO, IN TURN—-FUEL POLITICIANS AND POLITICS IN HAWAII. TOO BAD “5-0” ISN’T REAL…

I doubt they imported meth. Meth is usually easily made at home with all kinds of crazy chemicals and fuels that are easily accessible. Once in a while, the entire house blows up as things go very wrong when the batch of chemicals aren’t mixed properly or the meth cook forgets to check his egg timer.

If these guys made meth at home, their home is now highly contaminated with very highly toxic chemicals that constantly release themselves out of the drywalls, carpet etc. as the chemicals have been absorbed by porous materials so anyone entering that home, even for a few minutes will come down with long term health issues that are common from meth houses. I hope the enforcement officers had hazmat suits on and a very high quality respirator. https://ohsonline.com/Articles/2006/11/Coping-with-Meth-Lab-Hazards.aspx

Militarization of our Local Police force. Regardless of what these criminals did, these “soldiers” are prepared to kill American citizens if they need to. Scary

    • DeltaDag says:

Yes, with a lot of federal assistance, police departments around the country now have teams of officers armed and equipped as combat soldiers. By coincidence, Public Broadcasting presented a relevant Independent Lens production titled “Peace Officer” on Monday night. It can be viewed by going to the PBS site.

    …and the beat goes on…

two men taken out, ten step in…

It looks like law enforcement have lost confidence in HPD and brought in military forces.

Anyway, good job. We need to get all these drugs off the street and these dealers into prisons.

    • dragoninwater says:

Make them all mandatory organ donors. Prisons are a waste of tax dollars. Do what China does with convicted felons, sell the liver and kidneys to the highest bidders.
